Senior Manager / General Manager (Disaster Risk Management)
Job Description
The applicant will be responsible for the overall design, planning and implementation of the Disaster Risk Assessment turnkey projects of RMSI. She/he should have requisite skills and be aware of the probabilistic and/or deterministic natural catastrophe risk models and have good knowledge of the various stakeholders involved in this sector.
Take leadership in the development and implementation of a disaster risk projects for RMSI clients.
Develop innovative solutions by leading a group of highly qualified multi-disciplinary professional to provide end to end solutions in disaster risk assessment by applying probabilistic modeling in overall disaster risk management space.
Carry out research and knowledge development and be a team player to support other Risk and Insurance activities of RMSI.
Experience/Skill
Set
Ph. D / M. Tech in disaster preparedness / management field or risk management; a post graduate degree in Engineering or applied sciences is required with a minimum of eight to ten years of experience in disaster preparedness / risk management programs related to various hazards.
Experience in development of risk reduction program through a framework on pre-hazard analysis, vulnerability analysis, exposure data development and probabilistic model will have added advantage.
Consulting experiences in the capacity of project team lead with funding agencies like the World Bank, ADB, and UN agencies will be given preference.
Overall coordination of resources, monitoring work plan for consultant’s team, ensuring TOR compliance, risk / issue log discussions with client, client correspondence that include technical exchange on subject matter.
Strong managerial and administrative experience in project management, project monitoring and evaluation systems.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English and experience of working in multi-cultural and interdisciplinary teams.
