RMSI Ranked the 'Best Workplace' Across All Industries in India

NEWARK CA, May, 2008: For the second year in a row, RMSI has achieved the number one position in the Top 25 Great Places to Work ® 2008 study in India. This year the study was conducted by the Great Place to Work® Institute, US, in partnership with The Economic Times- Indian's largest financial daily. Based in Noida, India, RMSI provides the entire spectrum of geospatial services, from consulting to application development to spatial analysis and modeling to remote sensing and data conversion. When asked about RMSI's repeat performance as India's top place for employment, Managing Director, Rajesh Kalra said "Getting on any list is easier. Sustaining it is difficult. Every year, every time we have participated (in employee satisfaction surveys) we have tried to raise the bar." The study relied heavily on direct employee feedback. Authors of the study define a great place to work as having employees who are: #1 trusting in management, #2 prideful in one's job, and #3 enjoying camaraderie with fellow employees.

RMSI's employee engagement scores were in excess of 90%. RMSI scored consistently on all survey parameters such as unwavering focus on employee needs, work environment that empowers, engages and challenges employees; freedom, respect, flexibility, care, and ability to listen and respond to employees.

The study spanned all industries in India including Health, Insurance, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Consulting and IT. More than 250 organizations participated and over 36,000 employees were surveyed. A unique employee-centric methodology was adopted to measure levels of trust, pride and camaraderie within organizations.
