• Image Processing +

  RMSI is an adept at processing high-resolution imagery into quality raster data products. This involves removing distortions in the images to ensure that outputs are of the highest clarity, resolution, and color. Our service offerings include geo-referencing, ortho-rectification, mosaicing, color balancing, and cutting to specified output formats. RMSI is able to produce a seamless raster data product from multiple image tiles.

  RMSI has developed proprietary methods to create, enhance, and maintain geo-databases, which allow us to retain extensive information attached to existing features and vectors, while recreating features from the current imagery and other input sources.

  • Enhancing existing geo-databases in terms of realigning geometric shapes to ensure positional accuracy, conflation, and retaining and/or updating attribute information

  RMSI has project specific geocoding engines for geocoding complex input data to SQL and other RDBMS systems. Our robust engines use both spatial and non-spatial reference data to accurately geocode locations either automatically or interactively, as required.

  Before geocoding, RMSI standardizes the input data into acceptable data structures and cleans addresses if necessary. Our automated workflow management system queues input datasets based on pre-defined priorities and parameters, delivering large volumes of high quality output data on time, all the time.

• Data Conversion +

  One of RMSI's key strengths is its ability to convert large volumes of paper maps and drawings to digital format with quick turn-around times. RMSI also has the ability to manage complex conversion projects, which require creation of data from multiple sources of varying scales, vintages, and quality.

  These sources could be a combination of topographic maps, CAD drawings, satellite imagery, aerial photographs or observations from field surveys. RMSI's integrated processes for conversion include scanning, digitizing (heads-up and tablet), data layering, fitting/geopositioning, statistical batch quality assurance/quality control, and translation into final output.

It has created seamless city, regional, and country databases by combining sources such as paper maps, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and survey data.
