RMSI recently participated in GeoSmart India 2024<\/strong>, held in Hyderabad\u2014 the country’s leading geospatial technology conference. This annual gathering attracts a global audience of geospatial industry leaders, innovators, and professionals, offering a unique platform for networking, sharing knowledge, and exploring cutting-edge geographic information systems (GIS) advancements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 conference theme was – Powering digital public infrastructure through geospatial knowledge, <\/strong>exploring the integration of geospatial data with advanced technologies to transform governance and accelerate digitalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was inaugurated by Balo Raja, the Minister for Urban Affairs, Land Management, and Civil Aviation in Arunachal Pradesh, who shared his forward-thinking vision for the state’s development. Mr. Raja highlighted the transformative potential of geospatial technology in shaping the future of Arunachal Pradesh, pointing to initiatives like the Arun Door Sanchar project, which seeks to bridge the digital divide and foster inclusive, sustainable growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This 4-day event brought together over 2,000 participants, 300+ speakers, and 50+ exhibitors from diverse industries, making it a resounding success and a hub for innovation and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RMSI was a track sponsor<\/strong> for the Climate Change and Disaster Management<\/em> chapter, presenting its sustainability-focused solutions. RMSI showcased its innovative suite of products, including Early Warning System, Sustainability in Business, and Impact Forecasting platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RMSI Sustainability Head Pushpendra Johari<\/strong> was also invited to be the keynote speaker at the Climate Change and Disaster Management Chapter,  addressing the Future of Climate Adaptation and Disaster Resilience’ in his talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RMSI<\/a> also hosted a thought-provoking panel discussion moderated by Pushpendra Johari<\/a> on Day 3 of GeoSmart India<\/a> 2024. The panel discussion centered around the theme “Managing Climate Risk for a Sustainable Future.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussion highlighted the growing challenges businesses face due to climate change, including supply chain disruptions, physical asset damage, and evolving regulatory landscapes. Proactively addressing these risks is not just about safeguarding against losses but also about building resilience, reducing costs, and capitalizing on opportunities in a low-carbon economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RMSI delivers comprehensive solutions to assess and mitigate the impact of climate change on hydro-meteorological hazards across the value chain. At the event, RMSI also launched ‘SIRENNX<\/strong>‘ – a SaaS platform to generate early natural hazard impact forecasts that will alert businesses with a 2\u20133 day lead time\u00a0for hazard events. The platform was well received by the panelists and delegates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
