The client, one of the UK’s largest and most innovative gas distribution companies, covers 80% of the country’s total energy demands at peak times, and is the main source of energy for majority of the households. RMSI was commissioned to provide support and maintenance services for Esri based applications and other enterprise applications integrated with GIS.

RMSI experts liaise the business users to manage the code deployments in both pre-production and production environments. RMSI implemented the support and maintenance of the GIS applications in two parts – Core GIS and Web GIS
Core GIS mapping system provides necessary information to industry bodies and general public. It is used for the creation, maintenance and editing client’s mapping data including 15 million features and asset data such as pipes and valves.
Web GIS contains the client’s mapping data including the MasterMap topography layer backdrop mapping, with the client’s pope and plant asset data. RMSI assisted the supervisors to track, prepare and submit reports based on KPIs, along with regularly monitoring GIS application’s health.
RMSI ensured seamless enterprise-wide access to GIS data through a robust, multi-tier architecture. By proactively monitoring systems and managing incidents within SLAs and KPIs, they enabled faster service restoration and minimized downtime. High-severity vulnerabilities were quickly addressed, user access efficiently managed, and overall system reliability and performance significantly improved.
